Chalk ready for the Grand Depart

Enjoying another glorious sunny day, I thought I would take a few photos for the website.  As usual our border terrier Spike thought he would get in on the action.  I wonder what his chalk message would be ‘feed me’ , ‘treats’, ‘walkies’ or ‘squirrels’……Most probably the latter, as this is what makes him a [...]

@EroicaBritannia the most handsome bike race

Having enjoyed a fantastic day out at the recent L’Eroica Britannia Bike Festival in Bakewell spurred me on to put in more miles on the bike.  Passing the Tinytwin stand  I thought although a great idea, I didn’t fancy a ‘mini me’ on the mantelpiece complete with beer belly!  This still didn’t deter me from [...]

Garage clear out

We recently suffered garage envy, when someone posted a shot on Facebook of their pristine bike cave. A collection of bikes neatly hung from the walls and clear floor space, complete with a professional looking workshop stand. It’s was time to sort out the clutter in our bike store. Ebay is soon going to be [...]

Power of the #tag…birth of MTBMeetup

We had the pleasure to meet Simon Bradley last weekend. Simon is the founder & driving force behind #MTBMeetup. What started out as a nice idea to hook up with a few mates for a ride has rapidly turned into something much bigger than he first anticipated. Thanks to a great base of Twitter followers, [...]

The Tour de France has a lot to answer for

Spotted in Pip’s bedroom…a new message eluding to what could be the beginning of a lifelong passion. Unfazed by winter weather or the hills of the Peaks, she’s just happy to be out at any given opportunity. The weekend routes are now gradually extended and the times to complete decreasing. It is great to have [...]

Lost brew stop

There is nothing better than the thought of a mug of hot tea and a chunk of cake to keep you cranking out the last few miles. We have accumulated a select list of cafés over the years. One in particular, nestled down a track near Flash was always a favourite. Huge slices of the [...]

Bike map has arrived

We have been labouring away over the last few months crowd sourcing content for Bike Map, our first product. The finished map is made up from over 700 biking terms and references including the names of iconic bikes (Mountain Cycle San Andreas and the Klein Attitude), famous cycling clubs (Larkspur Canyon Gang), classic races (TransRockies [...]

Half pint mug

Our half pint mugs are individually crafted by a small studio pottery based in Stoke-on-Trent, using  the hands-on slip moulding technique. With a double kiln firing in temperatures over 1000 degrees and a hand dipped glaze they should be perfect mug for that well earned post ride drink.

Bike map

Bike Map our first product is a fresh twist on a traditional contour map – a map that recalls the nostalgia of the classic early mountain bikes. Bikes that we drooled over in the late 80’s and onwards but could never afford all set to the art of cartography.
